(NEW YORK– June 13, 2007) – Penthouse Magazine today revealed a redesigned centerfold in its July issue, called the “The Big Rip,” a double-sided feature which includes the traditional nude Pet of the Month on one side and a provocatively dressed version on the other. The centerfold comes with a perforated edge making it easy to rip out and hang on a wall. It was photographed by renowned celebrity and fashion photographer Terry Richardson in his first assignment for Penthouse.

“Penthouse Magazine is all about sensuality and varying levels of intimacy,” said Mark Healy, Editor-in-Chief, Penthouse Magazine. “Readers expect more than just nudity. They know our models can be as alluring in clothes as they are out of them but also they want to experience an unveiling. Every pictorial should involve a journey of sorts. Our readers don’t necessarily want to cut to the chase. This new perforated centerfold is a great and natural addition to the magazine and we are honored that the debut centerfold was photographed by one of today’s best photographers, Terry Richardson.”

In a recent Penthouse survey conducted by research company Millward Brown on what men want in a magazine, nearly half of the men surveyed (48 percent) said that they want to see more photos of partially clothed women. The combination of world-class photography and the shift to include more images of women in revealing clothing reinforces Penthouse Magazine’s new design to appeal to the desires of today’s 21-39-year-old male.

Penthouse Magazine is inviting readers to “Get Ripped” by submitting digital photos of themselves and their friends with the partially-dressed centerfold hung-up on the wall. All photos can be emailed to thebigrip@pmgi.com, and Penthouse Magazine will publish its favorites in upcoming issues.
